Terms and Conditions – Carbarn Bangladesh

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions ("Agreement") govern the relationship between you (the "Purchaser") and Carbarn Bangladesh Pvt Ltd ("Carbarn Bangladesh", "we", "us", or "our") in connection with the purchase and import of used vehicles from Japan to Bangladesh.

Carbarn Bangladesh Pvt Ltd is a legally registered company in Bangladesh and acts as the official local representative of Carbarn LLC, a Japan-registered company responsible for sourcing and exporting vehicles.

By using our website (www.carbarn.com.bd) and purchasing a vehicle through us, you agree to comply with these terms. The agreement for the purchase will be made between the Purchaser and Carbarn Bangladesh Pvt Ltd. All vehicle exports are managed and executed by Carbarn LLC (Japan).

2. Nature of Business

Carbarn LLC is a Japan-based company engaged in the export of used vehicles worldwide, including to Bangladesh.
Carbarn Bangladesh Pvt Ltd is the official local representative and operates a physical office in Bangladesh to support customers with inquiries, documentation guidance, and post-sale assistance.
All vehicle transactions, ownership transfers, and export documentation are processed and originate from Carbarn LLC (Japan).
Carbarn LLC’s responsibility concludes upon the successful handover of the vehicle to the shipping line at the port of export in Japan.
Carbarn Bangladesh Pvt Ltd will assist in customs clearance, local delivery, or registration in Bangladesh.

3. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

All purchases are made under the jurisdiction of Bangladesh law.
Any legal disputes shall be handled exclusively by the courts of Bangladesh.

4. Vehicle Condition & Inspection

All vehicles are inspected in Japan and accompanied by a JEVIC (Japan Export Vehicle Inspection Center) inspection certificate.
Vehicles are sold "as-is", and the purchaser accepts the vehicle’s used condition.
Detailed auction sheets and condition reports are provided prior to purchase confirmation.
Odometer readings are verified and guaranteed to be unaltered.

5. Shipping & Delivery

Vehicles are shipped via RoRo (Roll-on/Roll-off) method from Japan.
Destination ports include Chittagong Seaport and Mongla Seaport.
Estimated transit time is 25–30 days, depending on vessel schedules.
Once handed over to the shipping line, Carbarn is not responsible for delays, port charges, or delivery issues.

6. Payment Terms

50% payment must be completed before shipment.
We accept payments through the following methods:
Bank Transfer (Telegraphic/Wire Transfer)
Credit or Debit Card (Visa, Mastercard, AmEx)
Cash Payment at Our Local Office
PayPal (for international customers)
Payments can be made in USD or BDT depending on the customer’s location and payment method.
Local payments in Bangladesh are processed through Prime Bank Ltd, a registered Bangladeshi financial institution.
All bank charges, intermediary fees, and exchange-related costs are the responsibility of the Purchaser.
Shipment arrangements begin only after 50% advance payment has been confirmed.

7. Customs Clearance in Bangladesh

The Purchaser is fully responsible for all procedures and costs related to customs clearance in Bangladesh.
Applicable duties and taxes are assessed by Bangladesh Customs and the National Board of Revenue (NBR) based on the Japanese Yellow Book value.

Required documents provided by Carbarn include:

Invoice
Bill of Lading
JEVIC Inspection Certificate
Export Certificate
Packing List
Condition Report
Carbarn does not offer clearing agent services or assist in BRTA registration.

8. Refund & Cancellation Policy

Order cancellation is only possible prior to shipment and subject to supplier approval.
No refunds are granted once the vehicle is shipped.

9. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

Carbarn is not liable for:
Port delays or demurrage fees
Issues during customs clearance or registration
Damage, loss, or performance issues after shipment
All sales are final. Vehicles are exported strictly on a buyer-responsible, "as-is" basis.

10. Privacy & Data Protection

We collect only essential customer data required for order processing and export compliance.
Customer information is never sold or shared with unauthorised third parties.
